Oodi Central Library
Helsinki's living room — a sweeping timber-and-glass library with 3D printers, sewing machines and a rooftop terrace.
Opened in 2018 opposite Parliament, Oodi is a radical idea of what a library can be. The top floor 'book heaven' has a cloud-white ceiling and a balcony with views over Kansalaistori square. Below, you can record music, use laser cutters or book a game room — all free.
